Alcohol & licenced retailers

We work in partnership with retailers...

As a licence holder, you have a duty to serve your customers responsibly and be alert to potential disorder and anti-social behaviour. You also need to be aware of the potential for drink driving and take steps to discourage it.

By being a responsible licensee you can have a positive impact within your community. We are here to support you in this.

'Your licence, your responsibilities'

We have produced a booklet - 'Your licence, your responsibilities' which can be downloaded from the menu on the right-hand side of the page. It outlines your legal responsibilities and provides practical advice to assist you in running your business responsibly. Please select this link to view an online version of the booklet.

Online information portal

If you are licensed to sell alcohol to be consumed on the premises, you should have access to our secure online information portal. The portal includes photographs of people in your area that have been banned from premises. If you don't have access to this portal, please contact your licensing team using the email addresses below.

Your local police licencing team

If you are retailer and require assistance or advice in meeting your legal obligations under the four licensing objectives, please contact your local police licensing team.

For advice only, you can contact your local licencing team by email.

In emergencies please always phone 999.
