Police investigating an assault on a man at a property on Lisson Grove, in the Mutley area of Plymouth, have released two CCTV images of a man and a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. 

Detectives would like to make it clear that the man and woman pictured in the CCTV images are not wanted as suspects.  It is thought these people were nearby when the incident took place and may be able to help police with their enquiries.

The assault took place at around 4.30am on Thursday 29 December 2016.  Two men forced their way into a nearby property on Lisson Grove, close to the junction with Mutley Plain, and assaulted a man with a metal tube.  The victim, a 28 year old man, was left with multiple cuts and bruises.  The two male offenders then ran from the scene, through nearby service lanes and onto Belgrave Lane.
